「北歐方舟 Nordic Ark」於2019年在台中成立，致力分享20世紀20至70年代的北歐家俱、家私及當代藝術作品，並透過微型展覽形式，將北歐家具的純粹和當代藝術的魅力與大家分享。
「諾亞方舟」是乘載了生命對於未來的期望啟航；而「北歐方舟 Nordic Ark」則是乘載經典與當代藝術的傳承。我們在此佇足與推廣，希望用不同的角度，將這些「美」的事物，注入我們的日常生活中。
北歐注重家具的實用性與功能性；從20世紀開始以來累積的知識、技法、熱情及對待生活的態度，衍伸出了北歐特有的生活藝術；而這些「美」的事物是值得我們去使用並「傳承」的。如果你也剛好對北歐家具及當代藝術有興趣，我們非常歡迎你的來訪，也希望你能透過我們對於每個物件的解釋，能感受到其背後的故事，也希望你們在踏進北歐方舟之後能夠將這些物件及故事收藏與傳承。
[ Nordic Ark ] was established in Taichung Taiwan in 2019, to promote contemporary art and antique furniture from the 20th to the 70s of Northern Europe. We would like to share as an exhibition for the purity of Nordic furniture, and the charm of contemporary art.
Noah’s Ark is a journey of life with a desire for the future; for us, the [ Nordic Ark ] is a heritage of classic and contemporary art; we are here to promote. Also hope that we can find a different way to make these “beautiful” things be part of our daily life.
Northern Europe pays attention to the practicality and functionality of furniture; the knowledge, techniques, enthusiasm and attitude towards life since the beginning of the 20th century have extended the unique life art of Northern Europe; these “beauties” are worthy of our use and Inheritance.
